Classroom Rules and Expectations

  1. An open mind for learning!!
  2. Respect, responsibility, honesty, and a hard-working attitude every day
  3. Cell phones are NOT allowed in class and must be placed in your bag before class begins.
  4. Online learning:

Learning will be conducted via Microsoft Teams. You are advised to download the app always check your calendar for scheduled classes. You must turn on your camera, mute your microphone always. If you want to comment or ask a question, raise up your hand or use the chat feature.

Daily Materials:

    • Science 10 binder with notes/class materials/extra paper, pen, planner/student handbook
    • E-Dictionary or paper dictionary (Cell phones will not be acceptable for translating)
    • Your computer- when instructed by the teacher in advance
  1. Show RESPECT to every student, visitors and the teacher
  2. If you are absent, please explain why you were gone and have a note from an
    • It is YOUR responsibility to get caught missing work
  1. Cheating is not acceptable under any circumstances
  2. NO sleeping in class
  3. NO being late – come to class on time.
  4. Only ONE student can leave the classroom at a time with a hall pass. The student is responsible for bringing the pass back.
  5. PICK UP YOUR GARBAGE and put it in the trash can before you Let’s keep our shared class space clean for everyone
  6. Homework and assignments MUST be completed and submitted on time.

In Our Classroom Community

  1. Students are encouraged to constantly question the quality and accuracy of the information they are being presented.
  2. Students are encouraged to participate in class discussions on ethical and moral issues in science in our modern society.
  3. Students are encouraged to bring ideas forward about what interests them in science during open discussion time each day.

Hall Pass Policy

Only ONE student is allowed to leave the room at a time and must have the hall pass.

  • Binder
  • Pen/Pencil, etc.
  • Student handbook/planner
  • E-Dictionary/Paper dictionary (No cell phones)
  • Calculator
  • Ruler
  • Laptop (as needed)
